‘LTSE’ is an initiative specifically to help deserving students to get admissions into top degree colleges of India and serve as a gateway to students for PU colleges. LTSE 2011 was held on Sunday, 17-Apr-2011 in 37 cities in Karnataka, Kerala, TN, and AP; 1270 students appear. It expanded to 5 cities in Maharashtra in June 2011 taken by around 100 students. LEAD Scholars batch 2013 was selected based on following criteria:
1. Academic performance – SSLC/ 10th Std and before.
2. Performance in LTSE Entrance test
3. Interview by LEAD trust and partner colleges
Through LTSE, LEAD has selected 19 students (including one girl) as LEAD scholars for IIT-JEE 2013 batch. They have joined I PUC at Al-Ameen PU College Bangalore, and are undergoing the two year IIT-JEE 2013 coaching programme by TIME (Rs. 60,000 per student) on campus itself. The selected students have received scholarships by Al-ameen college to get admission into 1st year PUC and are residing at a hostel facility near the college.
LEAD trust is providing needy & deserving students with scholarships to meet expenses relating to training, coaching, guidance, books, study materials, etc. for 2 years, during which they are preparing for PUC, IIT-JEE and other competitive exams including Olympiads. Economically deserving students are also getting support for boarding and lodging.

LEAD had also partnered with 4 PU colleges across Karnataka to use the LTSE platform to select students for PUC and provide scholarships: Al-ameen PU College, Bangalore; Shaheen College, Bidar; Al-Falah College, Magadi & Beary Composite College, Kundapura. Students who got through to these colleges through LTSE received substantial discounts of up to 100% from the colleges.
