Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET)

Starting 2013, the Indian government has decided tomerge the IIT-JEE and the All-India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), and hold a common entrance test covering admissions to 16 Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), 30 National Institutes of Technology & 5 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT). Some states have also already joined the proposed system, while all other states may join in 2014. All universities & institutions offering engineering courses will use the all-India merit list for admissions.The proposed final merit list will give 40% weightage for State Board exam results & 60% for the entrance test marks. The test is will have 2 parts: Main (checking comprehension, critical thinking and logical reasoning) & Advanced (for problem-solving ability in basic sciences). The estimated cost for 2 year coaching program is  upwards of Rs 80,000 per student. in 2014, LEAD Trust will partner with Al-Falah PU College Magadi,  Al-Ameen PU College Bangalore and Bearys PU College Kundapur for providing coaching for this entrance test.

MEDICINE

National Eligibility cum-Entrance Test (NEET)

It is the first ever single eligibility-cum-entrance examination for graduate MBBS courses across India, and is scheduled to be rolled out from 2013.
A single merit list will be created for around 35,000 MBBS seats across India. A common syllabus for NEET has already been prepared and PU syllabus in Karnataka and most other states is also being aligned with the central syllabus from 2012. LEAD scholars 2014 (medicine) selected will take up I PUC with PCMB combination at Shaheen PU College (Bidar) and will be coached for the NEET entrance in 2014. Residential facilities are available for both boys and girls at Shaheen PU College, Bidar.

PURE SCIENCES

Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI)

They offer a unique 4 year Undergraduate programmes. At IISc, Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Materials or Environment is offered and selection will be based on the merit lists of:KVPY, ISEET and NEET. CMI offers BSc in Mathematics, Computer Science & Physics. Admission is through its own entrance examination. CMI offers a monthly scholarship of Rs5,000 for students during BSc.

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) and National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER)

There are a group of premier institutes created by theMinistry ofHRD, GoI, to promote education and research in science. 5 IISER's are currently set-up in -Kolkata, Pune, Mohali, Bhopal and Thiruvananthapuram. NISER is in Bhubaneshwar set-up under Dept of Atomic Energy.

Foreign Universities

For students interested in pursuing a career in the educational field, higher education in basic sciences will also be promoted through full scholarships at foreign universities. The entrance test in this case is SAT Reasoning Test which is a standardized test for college admissions in USA and around the world.

LAW

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)

It is an all India entrance examination conducted for admission into National Law Schools/Universities for their under-graduate degree programme (LL.B). There are 14 participating National Law Schools/ Universities spread across the country. The test is taken after the 12th grade. Around 25,000 students took the exam in 2011 for 1200 seats (1:20).There is a separate 30% quota for girls taking CLAT.

Law School Admission Test (LSAT)

The Law School Admission Council USA (LSAC) created LSAT—India specifically to serve admission needs of India’s law schools.The admission test is for
25 law colleges in India. It measures skills considered essential for success in law school.
The Estimated cost of 2 year coaching programme for CLAT/ LSAT is Rs. 40,000/- per student, which is available through LEAD @25% discount.
